Esther StanfordDramaworkshop was founded in 2010 by Esther Stanford a mother of 2 and a professional actress/director/producer with over 20 years of experience who learnt her craft at the renowned ITV/Central/Carlton Junior Television Workshop.

Esther has starred in many television shows (including Eastenders, Heartbeat, The Bill and Doctors), adverts (including Playstation) various theatre productions (including The Swan Theatre Stratford and The Edinburgh Festival) and the played the lead in 2 award winning films.

Esther also works with First Act Workshops (run by friend and fellow actor/writer/director/musician Ross Simpson) as a director and Ross regularly comes down to Dramaworkshop sessions to direct.

Having worked in theatre, television, radio and film Esther now feels a need to give back some of the wonderful experiences that she had during her workshop days and help children with a passion and interest in drama to achieve their potential and have fun!

Here is Esther’s show reel if you’d like to see her in action.

Susan Hawkins – Sue has been working with Dramaworkshop since 2012. She is a professional actress, singer, writer, producer and director and one third of the very funny and hugely successful Black Country comedy group Fizzogs.

Ross is a professional writer/director/musician/actor and has written and directed an award winning film. Ross’ group First Act shares a special friendship with Dramaworkshop and Ross sometimes comes down to direct and run sessions and vice versa.

We also have members from the oldest group who come in to help with the younger members. Currently we have the wonderful Corran who is helping out with the 2 youngest groups.
